Gotta Go Toilets didn't start with a grand vision or a boardroom strategy. It started with a simple observation: the portable sanitation industry was delivering an essential service, but doing it with outdated equipment, unreliable scheduling, and almost zero focus on the customer experience. Someone had to do it better.
We showed up. Every time. And word spread.
In 2015, we launched out of Jackson, Mississippi, with a small fleet, a straightforward promise, and a lot of hard work. Our first customers were local construction crews and event organizers who needed reliable portable toilet rental without the hassle of chasing down a contractor who might or might not show up on time. Gotta Go Toilets was founded by David Merritt, who spent over a decade in logistics and waste management before building the company from the ground up. That hands-on background shapes how we hire, how we train, and how we vet every partner in our network.
